What is TMD?

TMD stands for “Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction.” It is a condition affecting the muscles of the head and neck causing them to move the jaw in a way that stresses the muscles and the jaw joint.

What are TMD Appliances?

TMD appliances are hard plastic mouth guards worn for certain intervals during the day and/or night. We make appliances that go on the upper teeth. The side that contacts the lower teeth has a specific shape to guide the lower jaw in a natural motion during grinding that is relaxing to the muscles of the mouth.
